Coupledger terms of use

1. About these terms

These terms set out how you may use the shared household budget app Coupledger (Korean name 둘이모아) and the website coupledger.com ("the service"), provided by NodeX Inc. (주식회사 노드엑스, "we").

2. The service

  1. The service lets two or more people write records in one household and see them on each other's phones. You become a member with an invite code — there is no login.
  2. The service is currently free and has no ads. If we add paid features or ads, we will post it on this page at least 7 days before.
  3. The service only shows the records you type in. It does not connect to bank or card accounts, cannot move money, and gives no financial or investment advice.

3. What you agree to

  1. Share invite and reconnect codes only with the people you budget with. Anyone with the code can join that household.
  2. Do not try to guess other households' codes, send excessive requests to the server, or otherwise disrupt the service.
  3. Do not put other people's personal information in records without their agreement.

4. Your data and deleting it

  1. The records you write belong to the members of that household. We use them only to provide the service and recover from outages (privacy policy).
  2. You can delete your place and records at any time with More › Delete account in the app, or on Delete account & data.
  3. We suggest keeping important records with the app's "Export to a spreadsheet".

5. Changes and interruptions

  1. We may pause the service briefly for maintenance, outages or equipment changes. The app keeps records on your phone while offline and syncs when it can.
  2. If we have to end the service, we will post it on this page 30 days before and keep export available until then.

6. Responsibility

  1. We are responsible under the law for loss we cause intentionally or through negligence.
  2. We are not responsible for loss caused by records entered wrongly, by codes you shared with others, or by events beyond our control such as natural disasters — except where we acted intentionally or negligently.
  3. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer laws of the country where you live.

7. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we post the change on this page at least 7 days before it takes effect (30 days for changes that are worse for you).

8. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without taking away protections you have under the laws of your own country. If there is a dispute, please contact us first.
